So, I approached a few associates with the offer of a complete, outsourced IT department and a CIO to go with it. I explained this would include strategic planning, budget predictability, helpdesk support, and systematic preventative maintenance. All for a flat, affordable, monthly fee.
Turned out, this was an easy sell! These business owners loved the idea of having their own IT department. The access to professional expertise, predictable costs, and a dedicated “CIO” was a no-brainer. Within a few months, I had enough clients that I hired my first full-time engineer, (Doug is still with me) and we’re still helping many of these original clients today!
